The roof seems to open from the middle as a flying saucer comes down. A beam of light from the saucer envelops the Pong machine and it starts to rise. It floats up into the flying saucer which takes off never to be seen again.\n\nTHE END

You just watch the ball come to you without moving. You watch as your opponent's sneaky smile turns into a look of befuddlement. He thought he had you. Your opponent jumps up to kick the machine and everything freezes. The whole room seems to rotate as your opponent kicks the machine in destroying it, matrix style. Apparently he doesn't like losing.\n\nTHE END
You have a brilliant idea and stick your fingers in the coin slot, soon your fingers appear on the screen and you push the ball past your opponent and you win the point tying the game 6-6.\n\nYou move your paddle near the top this time, and the ball is served to your opponent who bats it upward towards your paddle.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|6-7 up lose d]], [[down|7-6 down win e]], [[stay|7-6 stay win d]]?
Your opponent starts spinning his knob faster and faster. The paddle moves off the top and then back onto the bottom. It's so fast it's like an impenetrable wall, and you eventually miss the ball losing the point at 5-6.\n\nThe ball is served to you and you hit it in a nearly straight line toward your opponent. He does the old "edge" bump and sends it careening to your side, up, and down, until it's sailing at a high speed upward toward you.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|5-7 up lose a]], [[down|5-7 down lose a]], [[stay|6-6 stay win]]?
As if it's in slow motion, the ball comes to your paddle, which allows you to easily bump it from the bottom as you move up. The ball goes up quickly at a sharp angle and then down and then up and down. Your opponent returns the serve quickly and you then actually move your paddle on top of the ball sending it careening to the other side and winning the point. Now you're tied 5-5. You flash a smile at your opponent.\n\nYour paddle is sitting toward the bottom of the screen and the ball is served to you also going in a slightly downward motion.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|6-5 up win b]], [[down|6-5 down win]], [[stay|5-6 stay lose]]?
a glowing blue light starts tracing the contours of the cabinet, and then it seems to pixelize and finally disappears, apparently deresing Tron style.\n\nTHE END

The ball comes down and you move up to meet it, but then make it look like you're going to hit it on the bottom. Totally expecting you to do a zig-zag shot your opponent gets ready. You stay and the paddle hits the ball normally. The ball goes up to the top down to the bottom back up again and attempting to smack it on the edge your opponent moves the paddle down and knocks it back toward you in a zig-zag pattern. It's too quick for you to counter and you lose the game 10-11. Your days of being the champion are over. You leave with your head down.\n\nTHE END

You decide to stay and see which way the ball goes as it heads upward only problem is it hits the top of the screen just as it's right next to your paddle and manages to slide just under it giving your opponent the point at 6-7. Your opponent is apparently in the zone because he doesn't seem to notice that he just won the point. He simply spins his dial a little bit and sets up for the next serve.\n\nThe ball is served to your opponent and he hits it on the bottom sending it upward toward you.\n\nDo you want to go [[up|6-7 stay lose a dead]], [[down|6-7 stay lose a dead]], or [[stay|6-7 stay lose a dead]]?
You stay figuring you're already near the bottom and it's going slightly downward but end up missing the ball because it managed to get right under you losing at 5-6. The ball is bouncing wildly up and down, but you're confident right now and decide to stay where you are. It hits your paddle squarely in the middle and the ball zooms back past your opponent's paddle giving you 7-5. You glance at Nerdy Fan and he gives you a thumbs up.\n\nYou set your paddle back to the middle and the ball is served toward you, you move down to meet the ball which rebounds and heads toward your opponent. The ball is moving at unexpected angles at high speed, and you try to match the balls position with your paddle. As it comes closer and closer you're not sure if your opponent just made a random shot or if he's just playing with you. At the final moment you push your paddle up over the ball and lose the point. The score is now tied at 6-6. Your opponent squints at you and then forming his hand into a gun shape, touches his thumb to his pointing finger as if he just shot you. He seems amused, but you're not.\n\nYou set your paddle back to the middle and the ball is served toward you, you move down to meet the ball which rebounds and heads toward your opponent. Your opponent returns your shot and you start moving upward to meet the ball near the top.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|7-6 up win b]], [[down|7-6 down win b]], [[stay|6-7 stay lose a]]?
You see it moving up and down and up and down. Hearing that beep-boop-beep sound, but you don't care, as soon as it gets close you crank the dial counter-clockwise and slam the paddle into the ball. He thought he had hit the ball fast, but he doesn't know what's hitting him, until he loses that point for a total of 7-5. You taunt him with a look of surprise.\n\nThe ball is launched toward your opponent who comes down on top of it causing it to move toward the bottom of the screen and then back to the ceiling finally from the top of the screen in a downward motion.\n\nDo you want to go [[up|7-5 up win dead]], [[down|7-5 up win dead]], or [[stay|7-5 up win dead]]?
Lines seem to form in the machine and then separate to reveal a man standing in what appears to be an arcade cabinet suit. He lifts up the portion where the monitors shows through and you notice a man who salutes you and walks out. \n\nTHE END
You hear a small buzzing sound and wood chips starts flying off the machine. Holes appear which you can see through (even in the monitor), and then the whole thing crumbles to dust, which was apparently the work of magic termites.\n\nTHE END

Moving down to reach the ball you realize too late it's going to bounce off the bottom and move just past your paddle, and you lose the point, and now the score is 4-5. It's still too early in the game to be worried, so you relax a bit.\n\nThe ball is next served to your opponent and moves down from the top batting the ball back to your direction, but it's a pretty straight line from the middle. Pong designer Al Alcorn pushes through the crowd, fiddles at the bottom of the cabinet, and then watches as 4 casters pop out of the bottom. He then wheels the machine away never to be used again.\n\nTHE END
With that last point something triggers in the machine. Suddenly numbers flash on the screen counting down from 10. Finaly it gets to 3-2-1 and before your very eyes it blasts off with rocket fire blasting out the bottom.\n\nTHE END
You move up to meet the ball and after several exchanges your opponent again misses the ball giving you 7-6. Just as anticipated the ball hits the paddle going up and then goes down toward your opponent. A few ball swaps later and it passes your opponent's paddle giving you the point at 7-6. You form both of your hands into a gun shape and point both of them upward. He's not smiling now as more people start gathering around behind you.\n\nThe ball is served to your opponent and he hits it on the bottom sending it upward toward you.\n\nDo you want to go [[up|7-6 up win b dead]], [[down|7-6 up win b dead]], or [[stay|7-6 up win b dead]]?
You gently crank the knob counter-clockwise and ease the paddle up to meet the ball. The ball hits the top of the screen comes down and hits the bottom of the screen then comes back up. Your opponent hits it again, and it hits the top of the screen coming down. You match the ball's movement and manage to hit it again, this time his hand twitches and he loses the point 7-6.\n\nThe ball is served to your opponent who returns it in a near straight line toward the middle of the screen. Ted Dabney, co-founder of Atari, Inc, simply appears out of thin air. He pushes you and your opponent away from the machine. He then messes with the control knobs, as the machine seems to phase out as if it were a hologram turning off.\n\nTHE END
Your paddle is approximately in the middle of the screen and the ball is drifting downward toward the bottom of the screen in your direction. You're super confident you can return the shot.\n\nDo you wish to move [[up|4-5 up lose]], [[down|4-5 down lose]], [[stay|5-4 stay win part 1]]?
A couple more rounds show that you and your opponent are really well matched. Now the score is tied at 4-4 and you have at least one fan. He's wearing glasses and looks like he designs games like these.\n\n[[Continue...|4-4 b]]
Your opponent realizes he's about to lose and so is feverishly trying to match your every move as your paddle comes down and meets the ball. It shoots back to him, and he returns it back to you. This keeps going on for what seems like minutes, and you decide to end it. Your paddle seems to elongate as you move it downward and catch it square in the middle of your paddle. It zips but is too fast for him to catch it, giving you the point. Now at 7-4.\n\nThe ball gets served back to him and he returns a zig-zag volley back at you. Your paddle is sitting towards the bottom of the screen ready for the next move.\n\nDo you want to go [[up|7-4 down win dead]], [[down|7-4 down win dead]], or [[stay|7-4 down win dead]]?
This time your strategy is to wait for it to come and then at the last minute hit it on top by moving down. When the ball comes you raise it just a little and then move the paddle down knocking it to the bottom of the screen and making it go in such a zig-zag pattern that your opponent couldn't reach it in time. \n\nNow the score is 6-4 and your opponent isn't happy. He stares you down but only for a moment getting ready for the next ball.\n\nYour paddle is in the upper middle of the screen. The ball starts coming your way and seems to be going in a slight upward direction.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|6-5 up lose]], [[down|7-4 down win]], [[stay|6-5 stay lose]]?
The machine explodes for no apparent reason. Luckily no one was hurt. Everyone goes home because the match cannot continue.\n\nTHE END

The ball comes up on you fast but you move your paddle up to meet it and it rebounds off the top of the screen causing it to come down while your opponent wasn't really paying attention. You win the point 6-5. You give your opponent a look like "Your head is not in this. Get your head in the game." You don't want to play someone who won't give it their all.\n\nThe ball is served to your opponent and he makes it go upward toward you, but your paddle is only in the middle of the screen.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|7-6 up win a]], [[down|7-6 down win a]], [[stay|6-6 stay lose b]]?
An orange portal seems to open in the floor under the machine. As it falls through a blue one opens in the top and the machine continues to fall from ceiling to floor back to ceiling, causing the machine to fall forever.\n\nTHE END
Your opponent says the magic words, "Hocus Pocus by Focus!", wiggles his fingers, and magically wins the point. In fact you didn't even see it happen it was just suddenly at 5-6. On the previous point, the machine starts making slot machine winning noises and the coin-return starts spitting out quarters. The crowd instantly dives for free money, thereby stopping you from finishing the game.\n\nTHE END
A gray runs in and fires a ray-gun at the machine. The machine then disintigrates, and the alien runs out of the arcade.\n\nTHE END

The machine starts making a strange noise and then disappears. In the next minute a large blue box appears in it's place, with the word "Police" on it. A man steps out of the doors and oddly enough he looks British.\n\nTHE END

Somebody accidentally trips and spills a drink they were holding on the machine. Soon you hear a hissing type of sound and see steam or smoke rising from the machine. It begins to melt, until it's a puddle leaving you staring.\n\nTHE END

You figure you have it by staying in the general location and yet you try to make sure you're tracking it properly by wiggling the control knob back and forth. The monitor of the Pong machine starts flickering and flashing different colors. It then goes out completely. While you can still hear the beep-boop of the ball hitting walls, you can't finish a game you can't see.\n\nTHE END

A man with a showy suit, a cloak, and a top hat comes in and throws his cloak over the machine, which then seems to disappear as he removes it. He then bows and leaves.\n\nTHE END

You return, and your opponent just misses the ball, for the point. The Score is now 7-6 with you leading. You decide you're going to try bumping the ball from the bottom, so you ease the paddle down a bit, and right as the ball comes to the paddle you move up just missing the ball, making the score tied at 5-5. The pained look on your face is nearly undetectable, at least that's what you hope. You don't want your opponent to know when you're sweating it.\n\nYour paddle is in the upper middle of the screen. The ball starts coming your way and seems to be going in a slight upward direction.\n\nDo you want to move [[up|6-5 up win a]], [[down|5-6 down lose]], [[stay|6-5 stay win]]?
You play it cool and let the ball come to you, and as it does it bounces off of your paddle and to the opponent who tries the same thing but the ball manages to barely miss his paddle, giving you the point at 6-5. He gives you a look of recognition as if saying "Good round" since your skill was slightly better than his.\n\nThe ball is served to you and you hit it in a nearly straight line toward your opponent.
