The next iteration of Ballsy

“Feature complete”. Changed the modes to go from 1-n instead of 0-(n-1), just to be more logical for non-programmer types. Added the playfield types.

Removed some barrier modes, so there is only 8 now.

Same “look” as before, same controls.

Will add some polish once I get some testing done. Hopefully any of you who see this post will test it for me… play around with it.

Anyways this is my “October Challenge” game

Okay the instructions are pretty much “use the arrow keys” and “Escape” key to exit.

This wasn’t intended to be spectacular. And although the graphics will be improved, they also won’t be spectacular. I decided to go a bit retro and start adding modes to be described as “games” like some old atari 2600 carts. Right now there are only 52 possible configurations, I hope to have 520 “games” (or game variations, or just configurations if you like because that’s what they really are).

R-zone boss level movement

Okay so I added some boss level movement. Essentially when you get to the point that you can move to the top and bottom of the screen, you’re in the boss level area. Which means you can move all over it. You won’t see anything until you hit the wall on the right side. In the near future I don’t think I’ll allow you to a point of being able to see the right hand wall so that the boss level feels infinite. But I’ll need some way of making sure you don’t hit the wall once the game starts autoscrolling again.

As usual, arrow keys or wasd to move. Make sure to click in the window to use the controls. In firefox this just means left clicking pretty much anywhere.
